Rachael Boyce – Director/Clinical Manager

Rachael has been qualified since 1994 and has a well rounded background in physiotherapy having worked in New Zealand and overseas, having worked with the British Army and various sports teams; and in the last decade specialising in Occupational Health and Vocational work. Rachael has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, a Certificate in Spinal Manipulation and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health. She is also a Pilates Instructor, is trained in acupuncture and dry needling and enjoys working with complex conditions.

Rebecca Crawford – Senior Physiotherapist

Rebecca is  one of our Senior physiotherapists who has been working at Active Health since she graduated in 2013. She is an avid sports person and has worked with several rugby teams. She is currently studing for her Post-graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and is skilled in treatment and exercise rehabilitation from sports and other musculoskeletal injuries.

Claire Thorby – Clinical Manager/Senior Physiotherapist

 Claire Started my physiotherapy career at Active Health in 2013.  She then worked in Oamaru for 7 years before returning to Active Health in 2023. She enjoys working with Resthome residents to maintain mobility and quality of life. She has also completed a post-grad certificate in musculoskeletal management focused on pain management. In her spare time she enjoy’s baking and rowing.

Kashif Qamar – Physiotherapist

Kashif joined our team in Mid 2023. Kashif is a Physiotherapist with a passion for excellence in musculoskeletal physical therapy and sports and exercise therapy. Graduating with top honors, Kashif holds a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy and another in Sports and Exercise Therapy from Leeds Beckett University, UK. With a solid foundation built upon a five-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree, Kashif has garnered extensive experience in the field, having worked in various esteemed organizations across the UK and Pakistan.

Outside of work hours Kashif is an avid cricket enthusiast, currently showcasing his skills as a member of the Temuka Cricket Club.

Muhammad Junaid – Physiotherapist

 

 

Kuziwa Ngundu- Physiotherapist

Kuziwa is an Enthusiastic physiotherapist with drive, determination whom enjoys working with musculoskeletal conditions. Kuziwa is eager to learn new things and is hard working in all aspects of life. She likes to learn new skills and experiences from everyone she meets. In her spare time Kuziwa loves pampering herself by relaxing and doing her skin care 

 

 Feili Zeng – Acupuncturist

 Feili studied for 8 years to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture and Moxibustion she then gained a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2017 in China. She has worked in hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for many years before moving to New Zealand and starting work at Active Health in Timaru as an acupuncturist in 2023. She is a registered ACNZ member and CMCNZ member, and ACC Provider specializing in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, Scraping (GUASHA), TUINA (Traditional Chinese Massage) and Chinese Herbs. She can use TCM theory with Acupuncture and other Chinese techniques to help to manage pain, improve women health problems, boost energy, relieve digestive issues and promote sleep. Feili will use a combination of Chinese medicine methods like: acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, tuina and Chinese herbs to treat the cause of the problems in a way with works with the whole body. During the treatment, the imbalances and uncomfortable are corrected, the body heals itself. In her spare time Feili enjoys traveling, cooking and table tennis.

Casey Belworthy – Operations Manager

Casey joined the team in 2019 as a Junior Receptionist and has since worked her way up to Operations Manager where she liaises with our Third parties and keeps an eye on the general every day running of the clinic. In her free time Casey likes spending time with Friends and Family and keeping fit by going for runs or you can catch her playing Hockey for Cambridge on the weekends.”

 

Thaila Higson – Receptionist

Thaila has recently joined our team and is the receptionist at the front desk. Thaila comes from a customer based background, so is always up for a good chat. Outside of work hours, Thaila likes spending time with her friends and family and reading a good book.
